Peaceful Violence
Ok, this is pissing me off. Every time you see something about a peace protest on the news, you always see violent people slashing tires, breaking windows, fistfighting their way to the front of the procession. Those jackass posers do NOT support peace. Anyone who acts like that at a so-called peace protest does not believe in the nature of it. Hello? PEACE, idiots. Just because you wear a peace sign, and carry a picket sign with "Peace not War" painted on it does not give you permission to be violent dickheads. That makes you just as bad as the people you're protesting. Sit ins are peace protests. Boycotts are peace protests. Not this angry, hot-headed, violent shit. Come ON people. Read your own banners.

Celebrities: They're Just People
"Did you hear about Britney?" "Goodness me, Jessica Simpson is pregnant!" "Tom Cruise is a scientologist!" "Awww, guess who died today..." I can bet you a thousand dollars the name finishing that last one is not going to be so and so's Grandpa. It's going to be a celebrity. So here's the point of this post: celebrity worship...what's the point? We all seem to care so much about what's going on in the celebrity gossip circle that we forget what's going on in our own lives. So what's with that? Pretty depressing if you ask me. Why should we care who's dating who? Who's pregnant? What's she naming her baby? Why should we care about that stuff in celebrities' lives when it happens to people who aren't in the spotlight all the time? My point is what the hell is with us butting into peoples' lives so much. FUCK THE PAPARAZZI! They do not deserve one red cent that they receive. They ruin other peoples' lives with embarrassing pictures that the next day are plastered all over the shit rags we call celebrity magazines. Then again you people who read those things are no better. Get a life! Do something that might, heaven forbid, have some meaning to your life. Seriously? Celebrities are just another person. Sure they might be talented, good looking, and have a high profile job, but that does not mean that you should treat them like gods and spend all your time trying to find out little facts about them. Get over it. You have a life too. So really just stop. Have you ever thought about their side of the story? How do you think they feel about being in the lime light all the time? I know I wouldn't want my new baby's first experience outside of the hospital to be of flashing cameras and yelling reporters. So come on. Give them a break.

Be open!
Wow it's been a long time since my last post eh? Oh well, this one is about being open in relationships. Why don't people REALLY talk anymore? It used to be that being in a relationship meant everything, someone you disclosed... everything to. Where is that magic? Swallowed up in a black abyss that I like to call the friend zone, that's where it is. Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't have friends while in a relationship, one must always have balance, but for hell sakes there are things that are meant to be kept between a man and a woman that love each other. One of those things (in my opinion) complaints that one might have about the other. And here again I'm not saying SOLEY between the two, but in the name of love and relationships, if you complain to friends, confront the person! If you can't tell the person your with about something that you don't like about them, then what can you say for your relationship? "We smile and kiss"? UH UH! If that's what you call a relationship then you are out of your fucking mind. If you can't talk about anything in your relationship, from sex to laundry, then what the hell are you doing? You ain't in a relationship, your in an IMAGE. An IMAGE is a thing where everyone else has a significant other, so you think that you have to as well. If this IS what you're in, get out now. It's not worth your time to do stay in it. Plus, there is another downside to the IMAGE: the friend zone. The person you're with is probably being influenced by his/her friends, and is being prevented by this to take the relationship any further than it already is. If your the person being swallowed by the friend zone, stop, look at yourself and don't be pathetic anymore. If you're the person that's a victim: sorry buddy, you'll probably just have to ride it out.

It's Sad
You know, when there was a big war on last time, there were protests, songs, and speeches. What do we see now? Blind people walking around with iPods stuck in their ears listening to rap and other meaningless crap. (Yea I said it, RAP IS CRAP!) So where is all this protesting stuff? It's gone, wiped from the earth by the hand of the government, once again covering our mouths and eyes with blinding media. Give us a sexy girl dancing on the screen and we forget all about the war and other crap going on in the world. That's sad. Why does no one seem to care anymore? Have we really become THAT blind? And if so, why? These are things we need to deal with right now! We can't just sit back anymore and watch this happen. Stand up! Let your voice be heard! Don't sit small and quiet anymore! Wake up and let everyone know your opinion. Fear not the harsh retributions some may give you because you did something before they did! If they can't accept you for your opinion then screw them! Just let it out!

Personal Space
Ok, can we talk about that ever-so-present topic: personal space? (I hope you have no objections, because I'll talk about it anyway, regardless of what you want me to do.) Anyway, I think there are some common misconceptions about this "personal space." The one I'm going to talk about is the one where other people think they can decide what YOUR personal space is. I mean, there are some things that practically no one really wants to do (sex in public, etc.) but some schools are taking it way too far. Recently there have been schools banning hugging, holding hands, putting arms around people - all things that normal people can tolerate just fine. I mean, what's the problem with public displays of affection anywhere? I sure don't see one. It's like people want to take ALL the love out of the world. I don't think this is right. The thing that really gets me is that the teachers who are getting it banned used to do it themselves when they were that age! Something is seriously wrong with that picture to me. What's gonna happen? It's not like you're going to get someone pregnant from putting your arm around your girlfriend. One thing I've heard about this is that one girl hugged her friend because her dad died. They BOTH got IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION! Is it only me that sees something morally wrong with that picture? Please keep our schools open to love and companionship. Keep the love.

If the draft comes again...
Well everyone is thinking it, I'm just saying it. The draft might be coming back. Frankly, I think that really sucks. The draft takes all of the smart kids who didn't join the army in the first place and makes them join anyway. This practically ruins many of their lives in my opinion. I know people who have been to war, and the memories they bring back are horrific. The sights, sounds, and smells they tell of are truthfully too much for me. Many of them saw many of their best friends injured or worse: killed. Is it really worth it? To kill the future of our country for a cause (wait, can you even call it a cause?) that just plainly doesn't make any sense? I sure don't think so. Wake up, America! Not everyone wants to go ruin the best years of their lives to fight for something that's just stupid. Well count me out. If the draft comes back again, find me a passport and a suitcase, I'm skipping out of the country.

hey
Hi so this is my first blog and I just want to say what I'll be doing here. Mostly, I'll be talking about things that have been happening in my life that have made me think...ok not the actual things, but what exactly they made me think about. It's all opinion basically, and you can like it or not, I don't really care. My main hope is to make people think about things.
